Every Pearce Woodworks Detroit piece is custom designed, built by hand and finished in our Detroit-based woodshop, with care, patience, and a love for the art of fine woodworking.

Meet Michael Pearce

At the center of it all is Michael Pearce — founder, craftsman, artisan, designer and the guy who still believes in doing things the old school way.

Michael is crazy enough to believe that, when it comes to woodworking, old world quality craftsmanship is a lost art.

A master craftsman with a unique eye for design, Michael is an artisan who does it all from start-to-finish. Custom project design, building and finishing are all handled in-house in our Detroit woodshop.

From custom builds to timeless designs, everything that leaves the shop reflects Michael's vision: quality, made-in-Detroit craftsmanship that lasts a lifetime.

In addition to being a skilled craftsman, Michael is a devoted father of four beautiful children who he considers his whole world.

Michael loves architecture, art, (good) music and innovative design, which is reflected in his own design work.

Always a fan of a good comeback story, Michael's love for the city of Detroit is rooted in the city's tenacity, soul and grit. (And, we guarantee, you've never met a bigger Detroit Lions fan.)
